How is algae calcium different from calcium carbonate or citrate?
Most calcium supplements come from limestone (carbonate) or are made in a lab (citrate). Ours comes from Aquamin, a red seaweed, which brings magnesium and trace minerals along with the calcium.
What should I look for in an algae calcium supplement?
Check four things: where the calcium comes from, whether D3 and K2 are included, the serving size, and testing. Ours uses Aquamin red seaweed, includes 800 IU of D3 and 60mcg of K2 (MK-7), gives 600mg of calcium in 3 capsules, and is third-party tested, including for heavy metals.
Why are D3 and K2 in it?
